It was in 1983 that RYC Alimentos began operations in the city of Puebla, Mexico -the result of a delicious and nutritive idea: to offer all Mexican families meat products of the highest quality, freshness and wholesomeness thus making easier the preparation of delicious, and above all, very healthy family meals. Today, almost 25 years since this dream began, at RYC Alimentos we are confident market leaders. We now have an important chain of stores and franchises in the central and southern regions of Mexico and a distribution network to supermarkets all over the country. In this way we can continue to remain close to our Mexican traditions throughout the years. SOME STEPS ALONG THE WAY - 1601: In New Spain, a Spanish emigrant from Cumbres Mayores, Huelva, establishes a butcher shop and a cured and dried ham manufacturing business in the old city of Puebla, named then, The City of Los Angeles, starting a family tradition that will extend through centuries.
- 1970 Extending the tradition that began in 1601, recent generations begin an agro business focused in pig production in a land that once belonged to a historical hacienda built by the Spaniards conquerors of Mexico in the XVI century, Tenextepec.
- 1983 Founding of RYC Alimentos with the establishment of a small cutting plant and the opening of the first store.
- 1984: Beginning of the manufacturing processes for luncheon meats and sausages.
- 1994: Inauguration of our actual main processing plant with TIF certification.
- 1995: Beginning of the first distribution center and partner of RYC.
- 2002: Quality Certification ISO 9001:2000 given to the productive processes of the company
- 2004: Development of the system of franchises and the opening of the first one.
